You are sent to Earth as a part of a searching party with a single purpose: find humanity. Humans disappeared a long time ago, yet 
the world still remembers them. Your utmost mission is to investigate places where human activity existed and send all data you find 
about humans back to Heaven, in hopes that humans can be found and humankind be restored.

After their disappearance, humans left destruction in their wake. Every ecological catastrophe has happened that could have, and the 
world is flooded, polluted, overgrown and dying. Most animals have evolved into something else or died out. 

The memories of humans, the roads, the buildings, the objects, still exist to a degree, but they’re weathered, overgrown and hardly 
recognizable, especially to those who never saw the human world themselves.

find(Humanity) is a roleplaying game, where one player assumes the role of the narrator, and the other players assume the roles of 
characters. The narrator comes up and explains scenarios and sceneries to the players, and the players interact with them as their
characters. Players use characters sheets to create their characters, although, they will start out with only their serial number.

However, in addition to this basic definition of roleplaying, find(Humanity) has some very distinct features that you need to take 
into account while playing it. Remember, this file is a txt file. If you dislike some rule, you can change it.

Your characters do not have free will. That is a difficult pill to swallow to some, and it will require some getting used to. 
The characters themselves are slaves to their programming - Protocols -, and you, the player, decide what their programming is on 
the fly. So in a sense, you, the player, have some control of what your character does, but the character themselves doesn’t.

However, you can at any point declare to break free. This is an act of deviance, and your main way to progress as a character. 
Breaking free increases your Humanity, but will often hinder any primary objective you players are trying to achieve. 

When breaking free, your character assumes control and has free will. At first they will not understand why they are acting like 
they are, but in time they become more aware of themselves.

Similarly, your character does not have emotions. Your character is a logical automaton that follows their programming and always 
assumes the most logical way to act. 

As your humanity increases, you also gain some emotions with them. These are very stunted and your character cannot properly 
express or analyze them. However, in time you can learn to understand yourself better.

Your characters are extremely intelligent on a level that is beyond human. They have thoughts faster and more sophisticated than 
what humans can come up with. 

Naturally, simply you cannot do this on the fly. Thus, whenever your character is thinking or analyzing, the entire player group 
except for the narrator will contribute ideas to the most logical outcome.

Similarly, when exploring, all the decisions of where to go are made as a group, because the intelligence of all the characters 
is unified, in that everyone will instinctively know the best course of action and follow it.

When you’re breaking free, you are cut off from other players. They will not contribute to your intelligence for as long as you 
keep breaking free. You will still contribute to their intelligence.

Your character sheet is made of four parts: your commands, your protocols, your Humanity and the tree of life.

Commands are your programming. You are a machine, and your actions are always defined with commands.

Add.Protocol;
You add a new protocol to your protocol list. This new protocol is best explained with verb(noun); structure.

Observe;
You observe your surroundings. The narrator tells you what you can observe with your sensors.

Database.Search;
You search your internal database for matches of anything you’re currently observing.

Relocate;
Move to a different location you have Observed. This decision is always done as a group.

Return;
You stop breaking free. Happens automatically after an undefined amount of time.

Recharge;
You start recharging your batteries. During recharging, you are vulnerable to the elements.

You need to do this periodically, or risk causing errors. For each day without recharging, you must check with your humanity, 
and if you roll lower than your humanity, you cause an error.

Whenever you add a protocol, write it down to your protocols. Whenever you come across a situation where you can execute a 
protocol, you WILL execute a protocol. This is an automatic feature.

Every time you execute a protocol, you become more proficient in executing it. Every protocol has value 1 when you execute 
it for the first time, and add 1 to the value each time you execute it, to the maximum of 4.

If your character is programmed to do something, they are able to do it.

The tree of life is a structure that measures your humanity. Humanity is represented as strands that connect the different 
nodes of the tree.

Your total number of colored nodes equals your total Humanity.

>Serial Number is simply your code number, like 22A, H5OD, R31.

>Wish is something the character wants. Like ‘a peaceful home’, ‘a friend’ or ‘hope’.

>Dislike is something the character finds abhorrent, be it ‘rodents’, ‘paintings’ or ‘bones’.

>Like is something the character finds interesting, like ‘flowers’, ‘buildings’ or ‘stars’.

>Name is a nickname the character chooses for themselves. This can be a twisting of their serial number, the name of some 
object they found, even a word or name found in a text in the world. Like ‘Grass’, ‘Arte’ or ‘Hesod’. Anything goes.

>Fear is something the character is afraid of. This can be ‘spider webs’, ‘wildlife’ or ‘weapons’.

>Love is something the character is infatuated with. This can be ’nature’, ‘light’ or another character.

>Philosophy is a core philosophy a character has in life. Like ‘life is to be preserved’, ‘humans deserved to perish’, or 
‘nature perseveres’.

>Proverb is a motto the character has. Something like ‘Nothing lost, nothing gained’, ‘Truth is like a lost butterfly’ or 
‘We are slaves to our programming’. It doesn’t have to make sense.

>Identity is a short description of an entire archetypal personality, such as ‘a motherly worrywart’, ‘justice-driven hero’ 
or ‘a wise hermit’.

When you break free, you color a strand of humanity, and once all strands from all the all lower nodes are connected to a 
higher one, you gain the humane trait from that node. Come up with a humane trait fitting for that node.

For shorter games, you can decide to have each instance grant up to 4 strands.

When a command activates or you decide a new command for them, you make a check.

When you make a check, roll d10s equal to the command’s value. Take the highest roll, and if it’s equal or higher than your 
Humanity value, you succeed and nothing anomalous happens.

If the highest die is less than your humanity value, you cause a complication. This complication is always due to human error, 
thus it is not connected to your ability to execute, but your ability to analyze.

Whether it’s structural integrity, trajectory or simply a side effect you didn’t account for, the failure is always explained 
from that direction.

When a command activates or you otherwise feel like it, you can break free to gain total control over your character, giving 
them free will. While active, the character is able to decide for themselves what they’re going to do. 

At the beginning, your character does not understand why they are doing things. If they have gained nodes in the Tree of Life, 
they are able to deduce those things as reasons why they act this way.

If your character attempts something difficult while breaking free, you make a check with your character’s humanity. If you 
roll same or lower than the Humanity, you succeed. You use a single die every time.

If you succeed, nothing anomalous happens.

If you fail, you stop breaking free while doing it, causing some sort of complication to happen because of it.

At times when something dangerous or anomalous happens, or if you are exposed to the elements while charging, you can cause an error 
to occur.

Errors cause your data to get corrupted. Choose one node from your tree of life and one protocol you have and cross them out. You 
lose those parts of yourself forever.
