^Phew...
I don't know about you, but this is not where I pictured myself at this point in my life.
This is all pretty surreal. I'm not even sure what to think.

~C7-2
^And I don't just mean the titans!
All of it! Mobile phones, self-driving cars, the internet...
Okay, so I'm not that old...
But it's still pretty wild, isn't it?
>Technology just keeps getting better.=C7-3-1
>Lives have certainly changed in the past century.=C7-3-2

~C7-3-1-1-1
^There's never an easy solution to anything. But the fact is if we applied the time and money we could absolutely solve these issues.
Just look at the titans! They're magnificent achievements. But what are they for?
... I don't even have a clue!
&C7-4

~C7-3-1-1-2
^Yes. It could! But it won't...
At least not until something fundamental changes about how our society works.
We'd sooner spend billions of dollars creating these titans than send impoverished children to school...
&C7-4

~C7-3-1-1
^I mean for one thing there's still so much ignorance in the world.
And we have all this amazing technology but people are still dying of starvation and homelessness?
>There's no easy solution to those problems.=C7-3-1-1-1
>Technology could fix all that though.=C7-3-1-1-2

~C7-3-1
^In a way, sure! My life has never been more convenient, or comfortable!
The strange thing is that while technology keeps expanding, our attitudes don't seem to keep up with it.
&C7-3-1-1

~C7-3-2-1
^Eventually, perhaps.
But I honestly don't see how these titans or fighter jet technology will be able to help starving and sick people...
&C7-4

~C7-3-2-2
^Absolutely. It's just not nearly enough.
We're scraping by. If we actually applied the time and money to producing life-improving technology then no one would need to go hungry, or untreated for illness.
&C7-4

~C7-3-2
^That's for sure. But I wonder sometimes whether we're moving in the right direction.
The best funded technology is probably either developed for commercial purposes, or for the military. So how much of it is actually designed to make our lives better?
>It's all helpful in one way or another.=C7-3-2-1
>Some technology definitely does.=C7-3-2-2

~C7-4
^Ultimately it feels like we're squandering our abilities on trivialities. At best.
And that's to say nothing of our entirely self-destructive creations like these titans...
&C7-5

~C7-5
^Everyone seems to be expecting technology will save us in the end.
I'm losing faith that it will...
We can't keep relying on technology to be the answer...
>So you think we'd be better off if we abandon technology?=C7-6-1
>What would you suggest?=C7-6-2

~C7-6-1
^No, I wouldn't abandon it. It's still beneficial in many ways.
But we need to be responsible about this stuff.
We need to think before we act.
We have to change the way we think before technology can start working in our favour.
&C7-6-2-1

~C7-6-2-1
^Unfortunately I can't say I know how to do that.
But I think accepting that our ever advancing technology won't eventually lead us to some sort of utopia is probably an important first step...
&C7-7

~C7-6-2
^We need to mend the deeper issues within our culture.
Technology won't fix those problems.
&C7-6-2-1

~C7-7
^Oof, sorry to rant at you like that.
I get caught up in technology the same as anyone but in moments of clarity I can see there's something broken there.
You may not agree... but think about it.
See you around...
