SUMMARY 
 
   File 05562036.EXE contains version 1.04, disk 1 of 1, of the  
   Bravo LC system flash BIOS. 

   Release 1.04 is a special maintenance release and was developed
   to resolve the problems described in Technical Bulletin #1365.  
   To resolve the problems, the level one cache was modified to
   operate in write-through mode.  Because the performance of the
   computer is reduced when using write-through cache, AST
   recommends using release 1.03 (filename 05562035.EXE). 
   
   File 05562035.EXE is the current standard system flash BIOS 
   for the Bravo LC system.

   Use release 1.04 only if experiencing the symptoms described 
   in Technical Bulletin # 1365.


   This update applies to the following systems: 503001 and 501798.
  
  
CREATING THE DISKETTE

   Insert a 3.5" formatted 1.44MB diskette into drive A: and run 
   the EXTRACT utility.  This will transfer the diskette image file 
   to the floppy diskette.
  
  
USING THE SOFTWARE  
  
   To flash the BIOS, perform the following steps:

   1. Exit the default operating system per normal procedures.
   2. Turn the system OFF.
   3. Turn the system ON and enter System Setup using the following
      key strokes: <Ctrl><Alt><Esc>
   4. Select Update BIOS and follow the directions on the screen.
