Configuring STG Global properties

Prerequisites

Use the following procedure to configure the STG global properties:

From the navigation tree, double-click VLAN.

From the VLAN tree, double-click Spanning Tree.

From the Spanning Tree folder, double-click STG.

Select the Globals tab.

Select the STP path cost calculation mode:

  • ieee802dot1dCompatible
  • ieee802dot1tCompatible

Select the STP port mode:

  • normal
  • auto

Check the SpanningTreeAdminCompatibility box to enable 802.1d port learning.

Click Apply.
