Viewing the Interface Shaper

Prerequisites

Use the following procedure to open the Interface Shaper tab.

Variable Value
Port Specifies the port associated with interface shaping.
Name Specifies the name applied to the interface shaping data.
ShapingRate Specifies the token-bucket rate, in kilobits per second (kbps).
BurstSize Specifies the maximum number of bytes in a single transmission burst.

Adding an Interface Shaper

Prerequisites

Use the following procedure to add QoS Interface Shapers.

Step Action

From the navigation tree, double-click QoS.

From the QoS tree, double-click QoS.

Select the Interface Shaper tab.

Click Insert.

The Insert Interface Shaper screen opens.

Click the ellipses to select the ports for the interface shaper.

The ntnQoSIfShapingPorts screen opens.

Select the required ports.

Click Ok.

Type the Label, Shapingrate, and MaximumBurstRate.

Select the Duration in milliseconds.

Click Insert.

Deleting an Interface Shaper

Prerequisites

Use the following procedure to delete an Interface Shaper.

From the navigation tree, double-click QoS.

From the QoS tree, double-click QoS.

Select the Interface Shaper tab.

Highlight the Interface Shaper that to delete.

Click Delete.
