Sound Typist adds responsive audio feedback to your keystrokes, for a better typing experience.

Installation:
Extract the ZIP file to a folder and run setup.exe.

After Sound Typist starts, you can choose a set of sounds to use, and let it run in the background while you type or code in other applications. You can also get it out of the way by minimizing it to the system tray and choosing options from the system tray icon's pop-up menu. There is also an option to start automatically at login.

Choose from 20 different sets of sounds to make your keystrokes have the desired audio/emotional impact, including:

- Typewriter/mechanical keyboard sounds for a crisper, more responsive typing experience
- Applause or clapping sounds as you type, for motivation and support
- Monstrous growling keystroke sounds to help you express your rage
- Cute squeaking sounds to make you smile
- Melodic or dissonant keystrokes on Marimbas, Vibraphones, or Grand Piano to give your typing some atmosphere
- Gory blood-splatter sounds for typing/coding up a massacre
- Firework sounds for celebratory typing
- Burping keystrokes, obviously a core requirement of any typing program

This app is in beta testing right now, and is available for testing/evaluation. Please report all bugs! The beta download will expire after the full release of the app.

Release Notes:

Release 1.0.0:
- Initial production launch

Beta 0.9.0:
- Sound Typist now minimizes to system tray, with its own popup menu for setting the options via the system tray.
- New option to start at login.
- Settings are now saved to the registry rather than to a settings file, for compatibilty with the start at login option.
- Now uses an installer (this is important because the start at login option needs a permanent place for the files).
- Changed the sound toggle button to a dropdown menu for easier sound selection.
- Link for beta feedback and support site built into app (see system tray pop-up menu).
- All the sounds are now loaded into memory when the program starts, instead of being streamed from disk when playing. This increases the amount of memory used, but is more reliable and has better performance.
- Fixed issue where the sounds would stop after a while.
- Fixed issue where the program would not launch if the Visual C++ Redistributable 2017 was not already installed on the computer.
