What's new? PMAME31 - Finally! The source is available. I've compiled this with the newer GCC 2.8.0 code base, plus the Allegro WIP additions, plus the PGCC 1.0.1 optimized compiler. This should give a moderate improvement over the regular MAME release. No miracles, as they are now using a slightly more optimized set of code themselves, but it should be faster regardless. No source changes yet. I've removed a flag the flag (from PMAME30A) that was crashing AMD's for now, even though you wouldn't want to use this build on an AMD... It's slower overall anyway, so why worry about it crashing? :) I may put this flag back in at a later date if I can find a way to make it stable. I've started the process of building my own version of PGCC, so I can maintain an up to date compile environment. When this process is complete, I will release another build of MAME31. PMAME30A - I've gotten ahold of the newest WIP updates for Allegro and incorporated them. I downloaded the newer GCC (2.8.0) support files and incorporated them into my build process. I've also added a flag or two to my compile for slightly faster speed. (About 2-4%) Added a "PentiuMAME Enhanced!" startup message to identify my build. PMAME30 - Inital release, kind of haphazard. Multiple names floating around (PENTMAME, MAMEPENT, MAME, etc) - Sorry about that, it wasn't really meant to get out as rapidly as it did. :) First attempt at compiling with PGCC.
