There are some archives in this platform that have gamecube ISOs sets, some are a bit outdated, but you can get the missing files from here and convert it back to ISO. The RVZ can be reverted to ISO that matches with Redump dat, all you need it's to open dolphin, set up the directory where you put the RVZ files, which will fullfill the gameslist, then select the games you want to restore, right click, and convert to ISO, is not much different from extracting from ZIP files actually xD https://imgur.com/a/XWmsnoR @mjr_awesome Thanks for the comment ;) For higher compression purposes, there are better options, but RVZ it's a playable format, so I didn't want to compromise the performance during gameplay. That's why I went for the default settings, instead of using compression ratio level 22 or changing the compression algorithm to something else. They never get recognized which will make it impossible to have updated when dats get updated aswell. They dont seem to be the real redump versions from redump.org dats, otherwise they d be recognized by the dat itself. Edit: Thanks for it. This plentiful list collection will run -almost- all games. Pac-Man World 2 just crashes, I recomend the Europe version instead, but that one also crashes after a while. Sonic Riders crashes after a few Story missions. The Europe version doesn't. I wish I could keep them in *.rvz format but I am using the basic redump dats so I have to use *.iso stored in torrent zip (*.7z) files. These 3 collections are great. So I'm writing this review just to launch a suggestion for any user that is looking for file size reduction efficiency: You should convert back to ISO the RVZ files that you downloaded here, and convert them again to RVZ format using better compression. By using lzma2 format, with 2 MB of block size, without scrubbing, and with a compression level of 9 (the maximum allowed level) you will notice a great benefit of overall file size reduction for this dump set. You can use my script files to automate conversion of a bunch of ISO or RVZ files: https://github.com/ElektroStudios/Dolphin_Emulator_RVZ_Utility_Scripts (you can do a similar thing with Dolphin GUI, but with implied limitations.) But you can even get a better file size reduction than that... check out the reading below if you want to go far and get maximum file size reduction efficiency for your requirements: ------------------------------------- I have downloaded 356 games from this dump (ASIA/EUR/US), which takes up 266 GB compressed and 480 GB uncompressed in ISO format, then I decided to reconvert all 356 ISO files to RVZ using: LZMA2 format, dictionary size/block size of 32 MB (33554432 bytes), maximum compression level (9), no scrubbing - and the result was a total of 226 GB, that is, I got a total size reduction of 40 GB, or in other words, 15% more free disk space. To give an example, "4x4 Evo 2 (USA).rvz" was reduced from 250 MB to 190 MB using these settings. I used 32 MB block size because handheld retro gaming consoles have low available memory, and I think 32 MB is more than enough between the balance of overall file size reduction and available RAM for these kind of devices. Note that for 32 MB and 64 MB block sizes your handheld retro gaming machine or PC needs less than 1 GB of available RAM to compress/decompress. But if you only intend to play these games on a (modern) PC, you can of course opt for larger block sizes like 64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB or 512 MB, or even 1 GB if you have enough RAM available (I don't remember the exact formula of RAM required, but at least I think around 3~5 GB available to compress and decompress), and you'll get a bigger size reduction. From the tests I did playing many games in RVZ format using different block sizes, I'm pretty sure that using larger block sizes above 2 MB IT DOES NOT AFFECT EMULATION PERFORMANCE OR LOAD TIMES. It just needs more RAM available to perform compression and decompression operations. Please note that the Dolphin's GUI only allows you to use from 32 KB up to 2 MB block sizes. You must use DolphinTool.exe (which is included with the Dolphin package) to use larger block sizes.
