Level 99, also known as Stevo, is a musician from Maryland who focuses mainly on guitar-based remixes. He also hosts the unofficial OCR podcast "OverClocked After Dark", with his co-hosts Brushfire and Epicenter. His official webpage is located at http://level99.thestuffoflegends.net. Bradley Burr, prophetik, is an avid remixer and musician from Western New York. He works for several independent game and film studios as a composer and sound effects artist. When not fervently composing and performing music, he can be found playing Ultimate Frisbee, mowing the lawn, and spending time with his wife and two cats. His official webpage is located at http://prophetikmusic.net. Ben Briggs, formerly chthonic, has been sequencing game remixes since the age of 14, starting with Anvil Studio and later graduating to FL Studio. His style is influenced by a plethora of genres, features mostly electronic soundscapes, and often includes chiptune instruments. He grew up playing the Super NES, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy, and has been a part of the OCR community since early 2003. After that fateful day when he realized you couldn't burn MIDI files into an audio CD, Bobby Keller (Xenon Odyssey) discovered what was known as the VGM community and continues to try and leave some type of mark on the place. After successfully conquering OverLooked ReMiX with his saxophone, he plans to one day obtain a 'Composer' entry to his OCR Artist page by writing music for video games. During his stay at the University of the Arts to receive a Bachelor's in Music Composition, he learned many different styles of music, ranging from classical and jazz to ambient and world (and subsequently applied these to VGM, much to the confusion of the faculty). He is currently on the quest to procure a computer rig which will enable him to produce whatever he'd like to compose next. Iggy Koopa was born December 21, 1990, in Massachusetts where he currently continues to live. He started composing at the age of 13 and is currently pursuing a music education. Dj Mokram is a self-taught musician, always on the lookout for new opportunities to learn and better himself. One word that would define his art is 'versatility,' as he's constantly experimenting with new genres or concepts, and never sticks to any trademark style. As a member of the VG arrangement community, he's focusing mostly on under-represented games, and is aiming to shed some light on their lesser-known soundtracks. After graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2008, I (Theophany) spent two years living and working in Toronto. I now write for Ember Lab, LLC, in California, producing tunes on the side. Thanks to prophetik for his patience. An aspiring music artist, Stephen (Sound Test) has been gradually developing his talents with FL Studio after being introduced to the program by prophetik. His musical background includes several years of piano and two internationally touring choral ensembles. Current pursuits include a music album in development, Pro Tools certification, and beating Master Class in all the leagues in the original F-Zero. David L. Puga (The Joker) is a musician that has been creating both original & remixed music for the last several years. He's found himself always willing to try new styles, and as a result his music is hard to categorize. Most of the time, he considers it pretty alright sounding. Rexy hasn't sent a bio yet. Clear your inbox messages, Rexy! Dafydd is a wanna-be OC ReMixer and hopeless romantic, currently residing in Uppsala, once the last bastion of Norse paganism. Dreaming of a career as a video game music composer (or a LEGO assembler. Or a scientist), he has been making music since before the days of Mario Paint, first on a Yamaha PSR-SQ16, then using Cakewalk, then Reason. He's been a choir singer for for over 15 years, going from soprano to bass in the process, gaining his nickname during the rehearsals of a Welsh piece named "Dafydd y Garreg Wen". While he irregularly graces the boards on OC ReMix with his likely-never-to-be-finished WiP's, Dafydd was, amazingly, one of the first people on this project (YEARS before the deadline) to turn in a finished mix, featuring a small tribute to his grandfather, who passed away at this time. In between flunking classes and falling helplessly into impossible (or so he thinks) love, Dafydd tries desperately to build muscle and learn to play the guitar, hoping this will eventually land him the girl of his dreams. John "Ten19" Sampson has been passionate about music and video games for as long as he can remember, his fascination with digital composition starting the moment he tweaked the DOOM engine to play musical notes and chords. When he's not obsessed with an MMO, RPG or FPS, he volunteers as a Playlist Manager for Rainwave (http://rainwave.cc). Since I (Lashmush) was 11 years old (1998), I've been composing digitally using ProTracker 4 (Amiga 500!!!), FastTracker 2, ModPlug, and around 2007 I made the switch to Renoise. My stuff is mainly symphonic metal, though I have dabbled in electronic genres such as Trance, Goa and I'm now experimenting with Dutch Hardcore as well. Cain (Fishy) is a 21 year old guitarist currently studying audio engineering in the UK. After making a few (awful) rock covers of his favorite game music for fun, he was pointed in the direction of OCR by a friend. As a result of being involved with the community, he is taking music production more seriously and is now pursuing a career in audio engineering. Artem Bank is a new composer, breaking into the music world headfirst with an original album, numerous song idea compilations, and a soundtrack to the indie game Star Ruler. Growing up as many did with the familiar sounds associated with games today, he fell in love with the atmosphere that the right music could create, and plans to further his musical education in college. Obtuse is Andrew Struve. He is currently 26 and lives in the great state of Michigan. He is an Electrical Engineer by day and a Musician/Composer at night and on the weekends. Obtuse has played electric bass guitar and double bass in many different musical ensembles. I (PriZm) am a frog from Quebec and a pretty stereotypical aging game and game music fan, which means I probably have brown hair, am pretty fat and single and soon to be in my thirties. I've played guitar for about 11 years but I don't have much time for music anymore since I work as a software consultant. The rest is a secret to everybody. Andrew Davis, aka sloopygoop, is a 23-year-old American chiptune musician. The Nintendo Game Boy was his first video game system, and he's used LSDJ on the Game Boy for several years to make original music as well as remixes and covers. Some of this music can be found on his website, http://sloopygoop.com. Michael "Miku" Martel began piano lessons at 6, and spent a childhood knowing initially only classical and video game music. You may know him for "Secret Seashells," a remix of one of his favorite Zelda games. He spends a lot of his free time playing Zelda and Mario tunes on the piano for fun. Mustin is the co-founder and owner of OneUp Studios. The Fayetteville, Arkansas based producer is also the owner of his musical production company, Mustin Productions, where he produces various acts under his own label. Mustin's versatility is evident as the multi-instrumentalist is a musical performer, composer, and arranger, covering a full range of work, from film and television music to fully produced album releases. His work towards the cause of furthering game music awareness continues as he leads the video game cover band The OneUps, acting as the sole director, manager, and booking agent.
